Oxygen Home Loans is a leading mortgage brokerage service in Australia, dedicated to helping individuals and families find the best home loan solutions. By offering tailored advice and access to a wide range of lenders, Oxygen ensures clients secure competitive rates and terms that suit their needs. Background
In early 2021 they came to us to refresh their brand as they were at the start of an exciting new phase in their business, to fully expand into the digital sphere with their own set of products. Their long term plan was to establish themselves as their own independent entity from their parent company.
The challenge
As with all startups the challenge was to get to market as quickly as possible. Beginning with their customer website. While the brokers at Oxygen had a wealth of experience helping customers broker deals for great rates. Their existing CMS website did not reflect that level of proficiency due to it being a simple brochure page. We immediately started a competitor analysis on building the website architecture and the relevant content by collaborating with the product owners and the rest is history.
Reinventing the Brand
Reinventing the Oxygen brand was quite a rewarding and fun experience for our team. The product owners understood the core value of their brand very well and had already planned out their vision for Oxygen. It was easy to translate what they wanted into the overall branding and the overall aesthetic across their new websites and web-apps.
Creating Usable Components
Conveying a sense os simplicity, lightness with readability was considered when creating each components.
Typography & Colour Selection
We chose Poppins as the primary brand font mainly to align with Oxygen’s friendly and approachable ethos while exuding a sense of clarity and minimalism. Poppins’ geometric design ensures readability even at small sizes, while its modern, timeless curves make a bold impression on large screens and mobile devices. It's an ideal choice for web and UI designs that require both style and clarity.
As for the colour palette we derived shades of blue and green from their logo with generous usage of white space and light neutral shades of grey evoke a sense airiness.

Web Applications and Emails
Getting customers to engage with brokers was the primary objective of the new range of applications and emails. Our team collaborated with product owners and their parent company to lay the groundwork for crafting campaign runner application and emails.
The Open For Inspection (OFI) Apps

Keeping Customers Engaged with Useful Emails
The emails serve as an additional resource to access structured information of an open house so a potential home-buyer can make a well-informed decision before signing the contract for their new home. They are sent through the OFI apps and are white-label friendly too.
Transition to Lender
As Oxygen gained more traction in the home loan sphere they were able to establish their own Lending company. Building on the existing Oxygen aesthetic provided a useful foundation for the brand's evolution as it transitioned into an independent lender. The original design elements served as the basis with Oxygen's core values, making it easy to enhance the look while preserving its identity.
Loan Application
To establish Oxygen Lending as a viable lender we set our sights much higher by aiming to create a fully digital loan application to provide fast, paperless, and fully automated approvals.
Loan App Overview
The goal is to provide a secure full home loan approval experience in little as 10 minutes, bypassing traditional delays associated with manual underwriting processes and extensive paperwork.
